Normal pre scan day stress plus worry that this one includes the bone scans. The bone density will tell the oncologist how the anastrazole is affecting my bones.
I've been trying to exercise more. The fitbit helps! I hung (hanged???) from the chin up bar again today. Right shoulder is tight but what's new. I wanted to do the yoga workout again today but after the puking incident the other day I was afraid. I need to slow down with that and get the breathing down. Love Kino MacGregor but she moves a little fast even in the beginner videos.

Latissimus dorsi
I was just reading about the lat flap procedure again since I may end up having that done on my right side. Things seem OK on the left. My main worry is that my ribs feel exposed along my back. Like they are just hanging out there with no cushioning waiting to crack. I just read that the lat is the "chin up" muscle. Now, I'm determined to be able to do a chin up anyway!! It's weird to feel the muscle on my chest. It's still responding as the back muscle. I wonder if all of the lat was used and what other muscles are compensating. I'll have to do some anatomy reading.

Mycobacterium chelonae
I received a call from nurse at PS office. The culture they sent in grew Mycobacterium chelonae. I guess it's rare so I have to see an infectious disease specialist. They will be calling me to set up an appointment. Just one more thing...

Chemo Brain
I think I have chemo brain. Sometimes I can't remember words or completely forget what I'm talking about while I'm talking. I see my primary care doc today so I'll ask if it can happen this far out from chemo. I "lost" my fitbit for a while yesterday. I had it in my hand to take it upstairs to charge it and completely forgot where I had put it. Looked all over the house and finally used the app to set an alarm. It was on my bed under some books. Geez!
So, chemo brain goes away over time. The American Cancer Society has a list of day-to-day coping that sounds a lot like normal healthy behaviors: eat veggies, get enough sleep, exercise, etc. ACA also says to use a planner and keep a diary to track memory problems.
