Faslodex & results

So my lungs show "small nodules" less than 4mm in both lungs. Onc spoke with radiologist and it could be from infection. They are new since the last scan. Going to scan again in 2 months to see if things have changed. More waiting...UGH!!!! Onc said the results weren't what he was expecting. Good news with the bone scan! Nothing suspicious! Woohoo! Even my right 4th & 5th ribs have healed...whaaat??

Yep, cellulitis

ER visit this morning with a few hours of IV antibiotics & morphine. I am SO glad they let me go home & I didn't have to be admitted. Whew! They drew on me to measure the redness. It's better now & I have the proper antibiotics.

Cellulitis?

I think I have cellulitis in my left arm. Going to ER in morning. My arm ached so I wrapped it but it was a feeling that I had never had before. Took off wrap and saw my arm was red & splotchy. Painful, hot to the touch. People with lymphedema have greater risk of developing an infection. I can't see any cuts or scrapes except on one cuticle. I did have braces put on last week so maybe that had something to do with it??

I took an azithromycin from my left over stash of antibiotics. I've been scaring myself by looking online. Entire arm aches. I'm scared because of the last infection. I'm elevating it for now. I really do not want to go to ER.

PT

Went back to PT yesterday. She wrapped both arms. The wrists and upper arms are down but the elbow area is up. My elbows hurt but they felt great when I took off the wraps this morning. Ahh, relief! It sucks that bandaging materials & compression garments are so stinking expensive. I wish more people knew about lymphedema. National Lymphedema Network has a good website. I'm an NLN member. 

Braces

I had braces put on on Monday. Just the top teeth. I want to get an implant for a missing incisor and the space needed to be opened up and a root moved. I had a bridge with a fake tooth and they took that off and gave me what they call a "flipper" tooth on a retainer to wear in the space. So difficult to talk with that thing in! I feel like I'm back in junior high! Ha ha!
